If You’re Waiting for the Right Time, Read This

How a health crisis forced me to take control of my life—and led me to personal branding.

In 2020, my life took an unexpected turn.

I was diagnosed with a slipped disc.

At first, I thought it was just a muscle spasm—something that would go away in a few days. But as the pain grew unbearable, I knew something was wrong.

The day I went in for my MRI scan, fear took over. How could everything change so suddenly?

Up until that moment, I had always found reasons to blame external circumstances for where I was in life. But when I faced this crisis, I realized something:

💡 No one else was coming to fix this. It was on me.

For the first time, I took full responsibility for my situation.

Frankly, because I was left with no other choice.

As they say, you only have all the issues in the world until you have a health crisis.

But instead of letting the pain define me, I made a choice. I committed to showing grit.

I focused on two things:
1️⃣ Building my personal brand on LinkedIn – as a way to channel my energy into something meaningful.
2️⃣ Prioritizing my health – because without it, nothing else matters.

Since my condition was chronic, I had to embrace a new mindset:

✨ Look beyond to the larger purpose while staying patient with the small, consistent efforts every day.

POV: You kept moving in the direction of your DREAM

And this lesson? It applies to personal branding, too.

Growing a brand isn’t about overnight success. It’s about playing the long game.

  • Writing when no one is reading.

  • Showing up when results aren’t immediate.

  • Staying consistent when others give up.

  • And most importantly knowing where you want to be.

Because personal branding—like healing—is a commitment.

And if you stick with it, the results will come.

So, tell me—what’s holding you back from showing up for yourself today?
